Getting here

From eNtokozweni to the farm.

eNtokozweni (Machadodorp) is your last fuel and grocery stop — about 3 h 30 from Johannesburg or Pretoria, ~2 h from Nelspruit. From there, the farm sits about 28 km due east; the drive itself, on tar and dirt via the route below, is 34 km.

  1. 1

Take the R541 for 10 km

Out of eNtokozweni, head onto the R541.

  2. 2

Turn left onto the Slaaihoek road, then 25 km

Tarmac most of the way; rolling farmland on either side.

  3. 3

Left onto the dirt road at the Winkwater & Cullinan sign

Watch for the sign on your left — easy to miss in fog.

  4. 4

Follow the signs — 3 km of dirt to the farm gate

Sedan-friendly when dry; a higher vehicle is easier in the wet. Don't trust GPS for the final stretch — follow the painted signs.
